Location: The Plains

Appalachian Ohio is home to a history of economies built predominantly on extractive industries, which have not provided sustainable ladders of opportunity for residents at diverse income and education levels. UCM serves low‑income community members, students, unemployed individuals, low‑income adults, low‑income youth, and individuals/families experiencing homelessness in Athens County, Ohio. This VISTA will help launch our capital campaign, improve our donor development and tracking systems, and create SOPs for fundraising and community outreach events.

Duties

Grant research, writing, and reporting
Seeking matching funds for capital campaign
Programming funding - Keeping the Blessing Box stocked, sustainable funding for meals
Growing investment account for 50% (500K) for 60th anniversary
Donor management
Bloomerang CRM maintenance and creating automations (pulling donations in from Quickbooks, automatic thank you letters, etc.)
Creating SOPs for logging donations and communicating with donors
Creating relevant and impactful donor level incentives
Writing SOPs for running Bloomerang reports
Data management
Researching strategies for sourcing major gifts
Planning for relationships with donors
Assisting in fundraisers and improving fundraising planning procedures over time
Diagnosing technical issues with financial and CRM compatibility
Laying the groundwork for an interactive Asset Map of regional Blessing boxes
