Position Purpose
The Endoscopy department at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s averages 20 cases per day. The Registered Nurse RN will participate in inpatient and outpatient upper and lower endoscopies, as well as advanced GI procedures. The nurse‑to‑patient ratio is 1:2. All staff are cross‑trained to work in pre‑procedure, intra‑procedure, and post‑procedure. This fast‑paced environment is challenging and rewarding for experienced nurses and involves close collaboration with GI physicians and anesthesia.

What You Will Do- Provide nursing care, ensuring an environment of patient safety, promoting evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibiting professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
- Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, using evidence‑based practice. Collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components.
- Accurately communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner and keep patients/families apprised.
- Document accurately and completely assessments, interventions, and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.
- Graduate from a school of nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- For casual RNs: 2 years of experience required.
- New graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
