Description

COPC (Central Ohio Primary Care) is the largest independent physician-owned Primary Care group in the nation. We are seeking a board-certified NP/PA with Endocrinology experience in an outpatient setting to provide follow-up care to patients. COPC Endocrinology Specialists is located at 400 Altair Parkway, Suite 3200, Westerville, Ohio 43082.

The office hours are 8-4:30 p.m. M-Thurs.;
Friday, 8-12 pm; closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements:

  • 4 ½ day work week. Westerville Office only.
  • Experience in Endocrinology is needed.
  • EMR experience is needed. COPC uses EPIC.
  • Must have an active license for the state of Ohio.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Obtains a complete health database which includes health history, physical exam and any screening with blood sugar logs, labs and/or diagnostic testing.
  • Assists physicians with aid in follow-up care of Type 1/Type 2 Diabetes (insulin pumps, Continue Glucose Monitoring) Hyperparathyroidism;
    Hyper/Hypothyroidism;
    Hypogonadism; PCOS;
    Pituitary/Adrenal Disorders;
    Osteoporosis.
  • Manages well and chronic needs according to reasonable standards of care or guidelines.
  • Evaluates the process and outcome of the management plan and modifies the plan as directed by the physician.
  • Uses Universal Precautions when tasks performed present the possibility of exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids.
  • Documents all pertinent information accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.
  • Has knowledge of clinical interventions and equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served.
