About the Organization Our client is a decentralized clinical trial (DCT) organization bringing the clinical trial experience directly into patients' homes rather than a traditional research site. The role demands a nurse who is both technically precise and genuinely warm with patients of all ages.
The Role As a home visit nurse, you'll be the clinical face of the study for a 6-year-old, school-aged pediatric patient (rare disease, Haematology indication) in the Burton, Ohio area, with adolescent patients possibly added as the study expands. Visits run approximately once every three weeks, last about an hour, and travel is local only.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medication via subcutaneous injection
- Perform blood collection during selected visits and manage patients with difficult venous access
- Collect and document vital signs (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, temperature, weight)
- Perform urine collection for pregnancy testing (WOCBP patients, where applicable)
- Complete IP reconciliation and all visit source documentation per protocol
What You Bring
- Active RN license in Ohio (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent, hands-on pediatric experience performing subcutaneous injections, blood collection, and management of difficult venous access (required)
- Familiarity with clinical research protocols and source documentation; prior DCT experience is a strong plus
- Reliable transportation and comfort with local travel
- A calm, patient-centered presence with families
Why This Role A low-volume, high-impact engagement, no overnight or long-distance travel, ideal for a nurse who wants to stay clinically active with schedule flexibility. INDH
