About the Opportunity

Union Savings Bank is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as an independent contractor to support the health and well-being of our employees. This role is designed to provide confidential health guidance, assist employees in navigating the healthcare system, encourage preventive care, and help improve health outcomes while supporting our self-funded health plan.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one health coaching and wellness support to employees.
  • Help employees understand medical diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications.
  • Encourage medication adherence and answer general health-related questions.
  • Assist employees in finding high-quality physicians, specialists, and healthcare facilities.
  • Help employees navigate insurance benefits and healthcare resources.
  • Promote preventive care, screenings, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Identify opportunities for early intervention and disease management.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, case managers, or providers as appropriate.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and professional nursing standards.
  • Track general program outcomes while protecting employee privacy.
  • Develop educational materials and wellness initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Experience in case management, disease management, occupational health, employee health, or care coordination preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management and medication compliance.
  • Ability to work independently as a contracted professional.
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification is a plus.
