Shift available: FT dayshift 6am-6pm, and FT night shift 6pm-6am.

We are hiring licensed STNAs to care for our residents with reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Job Summary

The nursing assistant (STNA) provides direct care to residents, assists the clinical team with activities of daily living, and works under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The assistant follows facility policies, documents resident needs, and reports concerns to a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities and major duties

Timely and accurately document all resident‑related activities in accordance with facility policy.

Ensure timely notification of resident‑related information, including changes in resident condition, to a licensed nurse.

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring, ambulation, locomotion, personal hygiene, and toileting.

Obtain labs/vitals as directed by a licensed nurse.

Observe infection control and safety procedures.

Attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings, educational meetings, and all other employment‑related meetings.

Assist with and participate in resident activities to create a home‑like environment.

Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

Respectfully engage and welcome all visitors, guests, and family members.

Maintain a safe and sanitary living environment for residents.

Adhere to infection‑control policies.

Follow the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Follow residents’ rights policies at all times.

Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and performance expectations.

Perform other related duties as directed by the Director of Nursing or person of authority.

Position Qualifications

Education and Experience: Ability to obtain and maintain State‑tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification required. High School Diploma/GED preferred. One year of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or STNA experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English in written and verbal form required.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification: Valid STNA certification for Ohio long‑term care facilities. Dependable transportation required. CPR certification preferred.

Responsibility for Patient Care: Promote independence and assist all residents with their ADLs.

Skills:

Basic PC skills, including email and internet usage.

Leadership Responsibilities: None.

Responsibility for Confidential Matters: Handle some restricted medical records and reports; must comply with confidentiality policy.

Environmental and

Working Conditions:

Exposure to heat and cold in all weather. Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (Category 1), or unplanned exposure (Category 2). Frequent distractions.

Age Group and Abuse Guidelines: Primarily engages with adults and the elderly; knowledge of their needs and the ability to detect abuse per state regulations required.
