Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor
Location: Georgetown

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Georgetown, OH. Full-time position with a starting hourly pay of $44.38. This role requires current licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio and leadership responsibilities in nursing services at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise direct care nursing staff, complete and sign performance evaluations, address disciplinary issues, provide counseling, assign and monitor work, recruit and interview applicants, train and orient new employees, and develop in-service training.
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care services; establish and implement nursing care programs; review and update programs; serve as nursing liaison with other units; direct record keeping and reporting procedures; coordinate nursing services with resident services; participate in health care meetings; provide leadership for quality assurance functions; requisition medical supplies or equipment; communicate with resident families, physicians, and specialists; investigate care or abuse complaints.
  • Coordinate scheduling, assessments, planning, evaluation, and delivery of nursing care with appropriate health care providers; develop and monitor in-service training; attend meetings and workshops; manage staffing schedules and leave requests in absence of staffing coordinator; monitor overtime and staffing requirements.
  • Provide direct professional nursing care as needed; administer emergency care and first aid; conduct nursing rounds and administer medications during staffing shortages.
Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in Ohio (Board of Nursing).
  • Minimum 24 months of experience as a registered nurse; additional coursework or experience in counseling, interviewing, public relations, employee training & development, and management as specified in the posting.
  • Alternate pathways include 6 months of experience as Nurse 2 or equivalent, or other substitutions allowed for the minimum qualifications.
