• Provide oversight and leadership to all on‑duty nursing staff during non‑business hours. Ensure proper staffing levels, monitor workflow, and assist with prioritizing patient care tasks. Address staff concerns and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Act as the highest‑ranking on‑site authority during after‑hours and weekends. Make timely decisions related to patient care, staffing, safety, and operations. Collaborate with other departments when needed and escalates issues appropriately.
• Offer clinical expertise and support in resolving patient care challenges. Assist with complex cases or difficult family situations. Handle call‑ins or last‑minute staffing changes, ensuring coverage and continuity of care.
• Develop and maintain care standards.
• Make frequent rounds to note resident/patient conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Give and receive the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensure assigned work area (nurse station, medical cart, medication room, etc.) is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
• Ensure that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to the care.
• Inform nursing service personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Must possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
