Description
Works collaboratively with Physicians to provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnosis, actively participate in all lines of service, monitor, and manage quality of care protocols, prescribe treatments, and manage health care of patients.
Full Time, 80 hours per pay
1st shift, late days on Tuesdays
36 hours patient facing time per week
JOB REQUIREMENTS- State of Ohio Certificate to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- State of Ohio Certificate to Prescribe.
- Federal DEA Registration Number.
- CPR - approved by the American Heart Association
- ACLS - approved by the American Heart Association

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Works with a diverse patient population with acute, self-limiting medical complaints and injuries, acute stages of chronic diseases, and acute illnesses or injuries.
- Performs and documents history and physical examinations of acute care patients.
- Performs and documents discharge summaries.
- Coordinates care with Physicians and other Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants.
- Responds to and evaluates urgent requests for service, and when necessary, provides treatment procedures essential for the life of the patient.
- Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
- Initiates and implements patient education and plan of care.
- Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
- Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
- Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel.
- Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
- Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
- Participates in planning changes and improvements.
