Job SummaryThe Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or FNP with MAT Certification will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, developing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to individuals across the lifespan. This role requires a strong clinical background in psychiatry, advanced knowledge of psychopharmacology, and expertise in mental health assessment and treatment modalities.
Key Responsibilities- Master's or Doctoral degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or FNP with MAT Certification.
- Certification as a PMHNP or FNP with MAT Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a PMHNP in a clinical setting, preferably with diverse individual populations and mental health disorders.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills, with knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects.
- Proficiency in conducting psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, risk assessments, and crisis intervention.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and therapeutic skills, with the ability to establish rapport, build therapeutic alliances, and collaborate effectively with individuals and colleagues.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology used in healthcare documentation and communication.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and professional development in the field of mental health.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical environment.
