Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - RN

Location: Silverton, Ohio

Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and promoting high-quality nursing care. This role is ideal for a hand-on, organized, and committed nurse leader who is dedicated to staff development and resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with day-to-day clinical operations
  • Support oversight of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in staff scheduling, audits, and clinical rounds
  • Monitor quality measures, incident reports, and clinical outcomes
  • Assist with survey readiness, inspections, and plan of correction processes
  • Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of nursing staff
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
Schedule:
  • Full-time position
  • Administrative/clinical leadership schedule
  • Occasional on-call or coverage support as needed
Qualifications:
  • Active Ohio RN or LPN license (RN strongly preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of clinical compliance and survey readiness
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and coaching skills
