Position Summary:The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and promoting high-quality nursing care. This role is ideal for a hand-on, organized, and committed nurse leader who is dedicated to staff development and resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Director of Nursing with day-to-day clinical operations
- Support oversight of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in staff scheduling, audits, and clinical rounds
- Monitor quality measures, incident reports, and clinical outcomes
- Assist with survey readiness, inspections, and plan of correction processes
- Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of nursing staff
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
- Full-time position
- Administrative/clinical leadership schedule
- Occasional on-call or coverage support as needed
- Active Ohio RN or LPN license (RN strongly preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical compliance and survey readiness
- Excellent communication, organizational, and coaching skills
