This full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio provides comprehensive emergency, surgical, cardiovascular, and specialty services to the surrounding patient community. The facility maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support quality care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. On-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated care for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

Springfield, Ohio offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of local attractions and leisure activities. The area features the Westcott House, Snyder Park and its Gardens and Arboretum, and outdoor recreation opportunities including the Ohio to Erie Trail. Local shopping and dining options are available in the North Fountain Avenue district, with additional cultural and natural sites accessible throughout the broader Clark County region.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide inpatient cardiothoracic and vascular surgery coverage on a day shift basis, with call required when on assignment and weekend call averaging approximately 10 hours. Clinical responsibilities include post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients, emergency surgical intervention, and management of consults and referrals from the emergency department, Cath Lab, and all hospital clinicians. The clinician must be proficient in vein harvesting during cardiac surgery and retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit.

Additional duties include surgical assistance, rounding, coordination of care, prescription writing, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
