American Traveler is seeking an RN Assessment Specialist for a Behavioral Health Intake unit on night shift, requiring OH or compact RN licensure and prior BH intake experience.

• Behavioral Health Intake department serving all ages 18-99
• 24-bed unit with 1:4 patient ratios
• Common diagnoses include detox, depression, and psychosis
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required as needed

• Active RN license (OH or compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required
• Previous behavioral health and intake experience required
• Ability to recognize mental health as an illness

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for patients ages 18-99
• Team supervised by the CNO
• Candidates should remain unbothered by challenging patient comments and demonstrate compassion for mental health patients
• Ability to stay proactive during downtime expected
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs or business casual attire; hoodies and casual wear not permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
