Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week
• Hours: M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay Rate - $ an hour paid weekly
• Benefits – active after 90 days

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate acute and chronically ill patients and monitor ongoing health conditions.
• Perform routine physical examinations and assess patients for new or worsening conditions.
• Prescribe medications and provide treatment for acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct assessments, establish diagnostic impressions, and develop treatment and follow-up plans.
• Order and review laboratory, X-ray, and other diagnostic testing.
• Determine the need for internal or external specialty consultations and referrals.
• Complete discharge planning and appropriate follow-up care.
• Perform minor procedures/surgery as permitted by training, competency, and facility requirements.
• Administer vaccinations and inoculations as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in accordance with facility policies, HIPAA, and professional standards.
• Provide clinical direction and support to RNs, LPNs, phlebotomists, and other healthcare personnel.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medical/professional meetings.
• Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and healthcare leadership regarding patient care and clinical quality.
• Provide health education, counseling, and guidance regarding health maintenance and risk factors.
• Participate in required in-services and continuing education.
• Maintain professional standards and comply with applicable state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• PMHNP License
• BLS/CPR certification
• DEA registration/certification as required for the assignment
• 1 year + experience working as Psychiatric-Mental health nurse Practitioner
