Park Maintenance Worker – Fairport Harbor - Seasonal (Non-Exempt)

Rate: $14.00

Pay Grade: SEA | Starting salary based on prior experience and education.

Location: Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park – Fairport Harbor

Position

Description:

Under the direction of the supervisor, the Park Maintenance Worker performs building and grounds maintenance at Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park.

• General park cleanup
• Grounds maintenance including mowing, painting, litter collection, and landscaping
• Minor building/equipment repair and custodial tasks
• Assist with special event setup
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Prior maintenance experience preferred

• Basic painting knowledge
• Ability to perform moderate construction tasks
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to operate vehicles, trucks, trailers, small power tools, and RTVs
• Ability to work independently and travel as needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Variable schedule up to 40 hrs/week, including occasional evenings/weekends/holidays
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required
• Pre‑employment background check required
