Description
We currently have an opening for a Seasonal Groundskeeper to work in Carey. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for supporting all Vaughn Industries Wyandot County locations with mowing during spring, summer and fall months and snow and ice removal during winter months.
This role is ideal for someone semi-retired or looking for flexible, part-time work with no set schedule!
Hours will vary by season and with weather conditions; this position requires early morning and/or weekend availability.
Duties will include:
- Mow and trim grass at all assigned locations on a regular schedule during the mowing season
- Operate and maintain lawn and grounds equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and trailers
- Perform snow removal duties at the Carey locations, including plowing, shoveling, and salting walkways or drives as needed
- Safely operate large equipment and company vehicles for grounds care and snow removal
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment (fueling, greasing, blade changes, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of grounds and outdoor areas
- Communicate with management regarding site conditions, equipment needs, or scheduling issues
- Work early mornings and occasional weekends during snow events
- Be at the office complex on time, ready to work as scheduled
- Driver's license is required
- Maintain a high degree of cooperation, communication, professionalism and coordination with all customers, departments within the company, and employees
- Comply with all company policies and procedures within the Employee Handbook & Safety Manual
