Location: Nelsonville

Overview

Position: Office/Maintenance Assistant (Lake Snowden Campground & Waterpark). This position plays a vital role in maintaining park facilities while providing excellent customer service to visitors. The student employee will assist with general maintenance duties, fee collection, reporting procedures, and office support to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Salary: $12.00-$13.00

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Mow and trim grass throughout park grounds
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and park facilities
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and appearance of park amenities
  • Secure facilities at closing and ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Collect park fees and accurately handle basic financial transactions
  • Assist with general office duties as assigned
  • Complete and submit incident reports
  • Report accidents, property damage, and safety concerns promptly
  • Communicate effectively with park visitors
  • Provide assistance and information to guests in a courteous manner
  • Help maintain a safe and welcoming park environment
Qualifications – Education, Experience, And Skills
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time Hocking College student.
  • Must meet federal requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
  • Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and fee collection
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation to and from Lake Snowden
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness and ability to complete all required training and professional development assigned by the supervisor, Human Resources, or the College.
