Veterinary Doctor Position
We are looking for a Veterinary Doctor to join our team at Ani Cura Vasco da Gama Veterinary Hospital.
Ani Cura, part of the MARS Veterinary Health group with a global presence, is one of the leading European providers of high-quality veterinary care for companion animals.
We offer a wide range of high-quality medical services that include preventive and basic health care, advanced diagnostics, internal medicine, intensive care, surgery and orthopedics, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and dietary advice. We also provide food and care products for companion animals.

The hospital has a team of 30 highly qualified staff and is equipped with two operating rooms, a radiography machine, an ultrasound, CT scanner, and a treatment room.
As a Generalist Veterinarian, you will be responsible for:
- Providing appropriate preventive care.
- Clinically exploring animals and preparing their medical history.
- Assisting in internal and external medicine consultations.
- Performing complete diagnostic tests.
- Assembling information collected through effective anamnesis, physical examination, and diagnosis to reach an adequate and effective clinical decision.
- Establishing treatment guidelines, as well as their subsequent follow-up and evolution.
- Prescribing medications.
- Performing basic surgeries with adequate anesthesia, monitoring, and pain control.
- Explaining the follow-up treatment and budget to the client.
- Maintaining daily control of the number of cases.
- Playing an active role in improving hospital efficiency.
- Addressing and resolving client concerns arising from pet medical care.
- Developing strong and lasting relationships with clients.
- Demonstrating integrity and ethics in all actions and behaviors.
- Supervising students in training programs.

- Veterinary Medicine graduates with 1-3 years of experience.
- Availability to work rotating shifts.
- Customer, patient, and team orientation.
- Interest in learning and continuous training.
- Residency in the area or mobility to easily travel to Lisbon.
