Kessen Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking an experienced veterinary assistant to join our high‑volume practice. The ideal candidate will be confident in assisting the technicians and veterinarians with daily tasks such as animal handling, restraint, patient care, sample collection, surgical support, and hospital maintenance, while being a supportive and positive team member with a compassionate and friendly attitude. This position will also involve front‑desk duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, providing customer service, check‑in/check‑out, and basic front‑desk responsibilities.

Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with daily tasks such as animal handling, restraint, patient care, sample collection, surgery support, and hospital maintenance. Provide front‑desk support by managing phone calls, appointments, and customer service.

• 1-2 years of experience in veterinary medicine
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Knowledge of commonly used veterinary terminology
• Knowledge of basic tools and equipment
• Knowledge of basic procedures
• Ability to use allotted time effectively to accomplish daily tasks
• Compassionate toward clients and their pets
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Able to lift 40 lbs without assistance
• Able to multi‑task efficiently and effectively
