Saint-Jean-le-Blanc, a commune of 9,600 inhabitants located on the banks of the Loire River in the Metropole d'Orléans, combines proximity to the city center with a preserved living environment. Just a few minutes from the center of Orléans and an hour from Paris by train, the town benefits from an ideal geographical location in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Nestled between the Loire River and its protected natural spaces, Saint-Jean-le-Blanc offers a pleasant working environment where quality of life is not just a phrase: cycling paths along the river, green spaces, and all the services of a metropolitan area in immediate proximity.

In this context, the Green Spaces Service, composed of 10 agents and attached to the Directorate of Technical Services, is recruiting a Gardener Polyvalent to strengthen its team and actively participate in the beautification of the municipality.

Within a dynamic team and under the responsibility of the Head of Green Spaces, you participate in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of the municipality's green spaces.

Maintain and beautify public spaces

• Perform mowing, pruning, weeding, and tree maintenance;
• Prepare soils and carry out plantings;
• Maintain flowerbeds and participate in seasonal flower arrangements;
• Monitor watering and check the health status of plants.

Participate in landscape design

• Create new flowerbeds;
• Choose plants;
• Set up seasonal decorations and arrangements;
• Seek new ideas for beautification by being a force of proposal.

Ensure the proper functioning of the service

• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and machinery;
• Monitor supplies and plant stocks;
• Apply safety rules and ensure the proper use of equipment.

You hold a CAP, BEP, or Bac Professionnel in Landscape Works (or equivalent training relevant to green spaces) and enjoy working outdoors. You have good knowledge of green space maintenance techniques and previous experience in a similar position and wish to put your expertise at the service of a community committed to the quality of its environment. Driving license B required and BE desirable.

Art. L332-8 disposition 2 of the General Code of Public Service - A contractual employee may be recruited for this position for the needs of the services or by the nature of the functions when no application from a civil servant has been received. The proposed contract may not exceed three years, renewable up to a maximum duration of six years.
