Bethel Community Pet Hospital opened in November 2008. We are located at the west end of Bethel and offer a multitude of services to keep your pets happy and healthy throughout their lifetime, including physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment, spay/neutering, vaccinations, dental care, surgical care, radiology, bloodwork, parasite prevention/control, and more.
Position PurposeFull‑Time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) – Bethel, OH. We are looking for a practice where teamwork, flexibility, and quality medicine still matter. Our close‑knit, all‑female team has built a supportive, family‑like culture where doctors are encouraged to practice compassionate medicine while maintaining balance outside the hospital. We understand the realities of rural veterinary medicine and value veterinarians who can offer practical, individualized care that meets both patient and client needs.
With a strong 2:1 tech‑to‑DVM ratio, experienced support staff, in‑house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasound, and a dedicated surgical suite, our doctors are supported in delivering thoughtful, relationship‑centered care—without the pressure of after‑hours call responsibilities.
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 per year.
Signing Bonus:
Up to $20,000.

- Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
