Veterinary Receptionist​/Customer Service Representative

Wheelersburg Animal Hospital is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment.

• Compensation: $14 - $16 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a full-time position, with a 4-10s schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

• 3+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
• Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
• Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially DVM Manager, preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
• Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
• Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
• Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods

Wheelersburg Animal Hospital is a five-doctor, small animal practice located in southern Ohio, near the Kentucky border. We’ve proudly served Wheelersburg, OH, and the surrounding areas of Portsmouth, Ironton, and Greenup, KY, for years. Our DVM team has nearly 65 years of combined experience and we have a talented support team, including 5 RVTs! From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics, internal medicine, and complex surgical procedures, dogs and cats receive high quality care at our hospital.

This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
