Niles Veterinary Clinic is a modern, AAHA accredited, 4‑veterinarian practice that provides high quality, full‑service care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets. We are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and client service, and we believe that education of our doctors, staff, and clients is key to individualized veterinary healthcare. Externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. Externships at Niles Veterinary Clinic are designed for 4th year veterinary students.

• Assist supervising Associate Veterinarians in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, and creating treatment plans.
• Participate in diagnostics, dentistry services, and observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures.
• Support medical management of patients and practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

• Currently enrolled in veterinary school, preferably in the clinical portion of the education.
• Interest in learning veterinary medicine and working collaboratively with a team.

Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.  to view list of stipend amounts and HERE for details on the stipend program.
