Position: JCF PREA Coordinator (Juvenile Correctional Facilities Prison Rape Elimination Act Coordinator)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented JCF PREA Coordinator to administer, monitor, and ensure compliance with PREA standards across our juvenile correctional facilities. In this role, you will ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and agency standards through quality assurance audits, routine site visits, and technical consultation.
- Compliance and Monitoring:
Administer and monitor PREA compliance across JCFs to ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and agency standards. Conduct routine site visits to all JCF facilities. Lead vulnerability assessments and provide post-incident support to facilities. Assist in the preparation for PREA reaccreditation audits and provide support during audits. - Quality Assurance and Auditing:
Conduct comprehensive quality assurance for JCFs including participating as a core member of internal management audits. Develop and implement QA tools to track and monitor PREA incidents and investigations, ensuring compliance with DYS policies and federal regulations. Analyze and evaluate current procedures and policies, identifying problem areas and recommending actionable solutions. Monitor and support plans of action and corrective strategies across facilities. - Reporting and Communication:
Generate confidential reports for the PREA Administrator/Deputy Director and other managing officers. Prepare timely site visit and audit reports, providing specific written feedback on deficiencies. Hold exit conferences with site managers. Assist sites in developing corrective action plans. Act as a liaison with community service providers. - Training and Consultation:
Provide onsite and hybrid technical consultative assistance to service providers and agency personnel. Organize and provide training on PREA standards, sexual assault, abuse, harassment, and other related topics as requested.
