About The Job Since 1968, our production facility in Minster, Ohio, has proudly manufactured fresh yogurt. Our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible. This role is for a Quality Lab Technician in Minster, Ohio, focused on microbiological analysis of finished products and in-process samples, supporting quality engineers, and assisting with sanitation and line issues.
Danone North America is looking for a Quality Lab Technician in Minster, Ohio.
Responsibilities- Perform analysis according to the plan of control and record information to ensure finished goods and in-process samples comply with specifications.
- Place finished product on HOLD status when results fall outside acceptable range, investigate causes, and propose solutions.
- Assist in disposition of hold products through retest or providing sorting instructions to production.
- Perform bench-work analyses according to Standard Operating Procedures and standard methods.
- Enter analysis results into database and analyze data to identify trends.
- Perform required environmental tests of Primary & Secondary Fluids as well as Air Quality.
- Audit equipment, materials, products and procedures to ensure lab compliance with CQA and HACCP procedures.
- Maintain the laboratory in a clean, safe and orderly manner daily.
- Continuously improve lab methods for speed and effectiveness and reduce waste while improving product quality.
- Conduct daily line tours and filler line audits to ensure machine compliance with site quality standards, including startup, changeover, tank change, intervention and normal production, and support resolution of problems.
- Provide quality leadership to production operators to improve product quality and technician understanding of quality criteria.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the plant.
- Train others in Quality practices and perform duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in a science field or equivalent experience in a quality position is preferred.

- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (WMS and SAP) and safety training
