Position SummaryThe Quality Assurance Assistant is responsible for ensuring accurate centralized data capture. The incumbent performs product inspection and audits of quality control programs, shipping distribution inspections, sampling and testing operations, and assesses draft and final label copy. The role minimizes downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.
Responsibilities- Advise operators on escalation procedures
- Document inbound and trailer defects (photos, initial report, data entry into the Damage Reduction Database, and email distribution lists)
- Report and follow up on all inbound and trailer defects (return, rework, accessorial)
- Distribute WPPS and procedure updates
- Conduct shift training on Quality, rework projects, standard updates & procedure updates
- Assist in managing rework projects
- Serve as Safety Liaison – incident reporting, follow‑up, investigations
- Perform quality checks
- Release product when required
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop action plans for QIs
- Act as the contact for Pest Control in lieu of the Quality Manager
- Perform shift audits
- Monitor operators for compliance with standard
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all SOP and safety guidelines
- Maintain a high level of quality in work performed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Determine essential functions can be performed with or without reasonable accommodations
Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company‑required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient in MS Office
- Effective written and oral communication skills required
- Good interpersonal skills required
- Generally prefer 3-6 years of experience
- Capable of performing all essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation
The expected base pay range is $24.00 – $24.00 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
