Quality Assurance Technician
Location:
Northwood, OH (Onsite)
Duration:
Approximately 3 Months
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Two paid 15-minute breaks
- Overtime available up to 10 hours per week
Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to perform product inspections and quality analyses in a warehouse environment. This role is responsible for ensuring raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products meet quality and customer specifications while maintaining compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities- Perform quality inspections and analyses on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Inspect product samples and document inspection results accurately
- Identify and communicate product non-conformance issues to management
- Measure product attributes such as weight, temperature, size, and appearance
- Maintain inspection logs and quality records
- Verify product identification, sizing, origin, and count prior to shipment
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure product quality standards are met
- Support customer satisfaction through accurate quality assessments
- 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Previous QA experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows
- Experience using iPads, computers, and scan guns
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work flexible hours based on production needs
- Food industry quality assurance experience
- Knowledge of USDA/FSIS regulations, HACCP, and SSOPs
- Knowledge of meat specifications and meat cut tickets
- Experience measuring and weighing products
- Produce industry knowledge
- Cold warehouse environment; appropriate cold-weather attire required
- Steel-toe boots required
- Frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
- Warehouse and temperature-controlled work settings
- Uses iPads, computers, scan guns, Microsoft Office, and Windows systems
