Certified Quality Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
  • Strong experience with ISO Quality Management Systems, including implementation, training, auditing, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality teams
  • Background in managing internal non-conforming material processes and corrective actions
  • Ability to travel to other company facilities, customer locations, and industry meetings as needed
Certified Quality Engineer Preferred Background & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Quality, or related field
  • Five to seven years of managerial experience in quality or manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems, PPAP, PFMEA, CAR processes, and quality tools
  • Experience in e-coatings or similar manufacturing environments is a plus
Certified Quality Engineer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and their quality teams
  • Oversee and ensure fulfillment of customer quality requirements
  • Manage and advance the ISO Quality Management System, including audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, train, and supervise the Quality Department team in accordance with company policies
  • Assess product conformity using control plans and criteria; lead the corrective action process
  • Communicate regularly with customers to support quality partnerships
  • Submit PPAP documentation, control plans, and risk analyses
  • Monitor and report on process parameters; drive accountability and improvement for non-conforming materials
  • Coordinate internal and external sorting, and provide support for customer special requests
