Location: Sebring

Label Finishing Quality Technician — Rewind & Slit At MPI Label Systems, zero‑defect labels are non‑negotiable. As our Label Finishing Quality Technician, you’ll command an automated inspection platform and high‑speed slitter/rewinder equipment to ensure every roll shipped is precisely what the customer ordered.

Role snapshot

Own the final quality control stage on an advanced inspection line.

Operate multiple slitter/rewinder machine options with precision.

Deliver finished rolls that meet exact width, edge quality, and core specifications.

Core responsibilities

Machine setup & operation:
Load master rolls; set web tension, speed, and blade positions; calibrate counters; and run to job ticket standards.

Defect response & rework:
When the AVT system stops for a detected defect, remove the non‑conforming section and perform clean, approved repair splices.

Finishing excellence:
Execute precise slitting and rewinding; verify correct widths, clean edges, core alignment, and core size.

Counting & packaging:
Accurately count and measure finished labels; rewind rolls to the exact specified length and diameter; stage for shipment.

Quality assurance & documentation

Job verification:
Read and interpret job tickets, QC documents, and customer specifications to confirm materials, adhesives, sizes, and quantities.

Production reporting:
Record run time, waste, finished counts, and detailed quality notes with accuracy.

Non‑conforming product control:
Identify, segregate, and clearly tag suspect product; alert the supervisor or Quality Manager for final disposition.
