Quality Assurance / Quality Engineer
As a Quality Assurance / Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in driving quality excellence across the organization. You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, strengthen compliance, and ensure that products consistently meet rigorous quality and regulatory standards within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Lead quality assurance activities for assigned projects, ensuring that all quality requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance products, processes, and overall operational performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to develop, implement, and maintain robust quality programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer specifications, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support and lead customer, regulatory, and internal audits, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
- Manage Corrective Actions (CARs) and Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely investigation, root cause analysis, and effective resolution.
- Provide quality expertise and guidance to inspectors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to promote best practices and consistent application of quality standards.
- Perform vendor audits and serve as Lead Auditor when required, evaluating supplier performance and adherence to quality requirements.
- Manage supplier quality activities, including audits, surveillance, and documentation reviews, to ensure reliable and compliant supply chains.
- Prepare and review technical documentation such as final data packages, commercial-grade dedication packages, and customer submittals.
- Conduct receiving and in-process inspections as needed to support production operations and verify compliance with specifications.
- Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to document, analyze, and report quality data and project status.
- Lead and coordinate quality-related projects, working effectively across multiple teams to achieve project objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interpret industry codes, specifications, and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Proven experience leading projects and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Quality engineering experience with audits and compliance activities.
- Experience managing corrective actions and nonconformance reports in a manufacturing setting.
Skills & Qualifications
- NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification.
- Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification.
- Experience working to NQA-1 quality standards.
- Experience with fabrication and manufacturing processes, including welding and cutting.
- Familiarity with electrical systems in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Experience with HVAC systems related to manufacturing or facility operations.
- Hands-on experience with testing and inspection processes.
- Experience in supplier oversight and management, including audits and performance monitoring.
This is a fully on-site position in a manufacturing environment, with core hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will work closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and inspection teams on the production floor and in office settings, using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage documentation and quality data. The environment emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and adherence to industry and regulatory standards, with regular interaction with suppliers, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
