Job Summary
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve customer quality processes and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead the timely and effective resolution of customer complaints, warranty claims, and quality issues through structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Monitor customer scorecards, PPM, complaints, warranty performance, external quality losses, and other customer-related KPIs; identify risks and drive improvement actions.
  • Lead and support cross-functional quality improvement initiatives, verify corrective action effectiveness, and promote prevention-based quality management.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, understand Voice of Customer (VOC), and represent FGA's quality interests while maintaining a constructive customer relationship.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the customer quality team to ensure appropriate capability, accountability, workload distribution, and performance.
  • Job Functions and Duties
  • Customer Quality Management
    • 1.1 Establish and maintain customer quality processes, procedures, and related documentation.
    • 1.2 Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSRs), IATF 16949, and the Quality Management System (QMS).
    • 1.3 Monitor changes in customer requirements and coordinate internal implementation.
    • 1.4 Provide training and guidance on customer quality requirements
  • Customer Complaint & Warranty Management
    • 2.1 Manage customer complaints, warranty claims, and field quality issues.
    • 2.2 Lead cross-functional problem solving, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
    • 2.3 Ensure timely and effective customer responses and 8D closure.
    • 2.4 Support warranty analysis, responsibility determination, recovery, and claim dispute activities.
    • 2.5 Identify recurring issues and drive systemic corrective actions.
  • Customer Quality Performance Management
    • 3.1 Monitor and analyze customer scorecards, PPM, complaints, warranty performance, and external quality losses.
    • 3.2 Identify performance risks and lead improvement action plans.
    • 3.3 Report customer quality performance and key risks to management and recommend actions.
    • 3.4 Ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer quality data and reports.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • 4.1 Serve as a key quality interface with customers.
    • 4.2 Maintain effective communication and understand Voice of Customer (VOC).
    • 4.3 Support customer visits, audits, quality reviews, and escalation activities.
    • 4.4 Represent FGA's quality position based on facts, data, customer requirements, and company interests.
  • Quality Improvement & Audit
    • 5.1 Support customer, internal, and certification audits and follow up on findings.
    • 5.2 Drive cross-functional quality improvement and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
    • 5.3 Promote the application of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, 8D, and other quality tools.
  • Team Management
    • 6.1 Lead and manage the customer quality team, including work assignment, prioritization, and performance management.
    • 6.2 Develop team capability through training, coaching, and personnel development plans.
    • 6.3 Promote accountability, teamwork, and a customer-focused quality culture.
  • Reporting
    • 7.1 Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual quality reports as required.
    • 7.2 Prepare customer quality performance reviews and management presentations.
    • 7.3 Escalate significant quality risks and unresolved customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • 8.1 Support the Quality Manager in achieving departmental objectives and quality goals.
    • 8.2 Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Qualification

    Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma or quality-related certification/training preferred.
  • Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive quality, customer quality, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality leadership, supervision, or project leadership.
  • Experience with customer quality, warranty, and IATF 16949 preferred.
  • Language
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Mandarin proficiency preferred.
