Job Summary
Job Description Summary Nationwide Realty Investors, the real estate development affiliate of Nationwide, owns and manages a portfolio of communities in the city’s premier locations (Arena District/Grandview Yard). Our team of apartment managers and leasing agents are passionate about providing exceptional, high‑touch customer service to residents and prospects, building rapport with residents, and increasing retention in the communities they serve. As a Leasing Consultant, you’ll work to establish relationships with prospective tenants by going above and beyond to answer questions with accurate information, filling out necessary paperwork and providing opportunities to view the property among other responsibilities. You’ll work with current tenants, too, to maintain a positive relationship and encourage renewal by inquiring about repair needs and following up as needed, having a positive attitude and interest in creating a community environment.
- Handles phone inquiries and meets company goals for appointment conversion
- Greets and qualifies prospects by covering all criteria
- Inspects models and available units every day
- Communicates related service needs to maintenance supervisor
- Update availability report, process applications for approvals (e.g., credit check, rental history, etc.)
- Submits processed applications to the Senior Property Manager for approval
- Follows up with applicant regarding status
- Demonstrates product knowledge to prospects for all communities by communicating and selling the features and benefits; closes the sale
- Secures new resident’s signature(s) on appropriate paperwork prior to move‑in
- Orients new residents to community
- Answers questions for residents about community, repairs, rent, rules, etc.
- Prepares lease and completes appropriate paperwork and gives to Financial Administration Manager for input
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned
Reports to Senior Property Manager.
Qualifications- Education:
High school diploma - License/Designation/Certification:
Apartment Management Designation such as National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) preferred - Experience:
Prior leasing or sales experience required - Knowledge, Abilities and
Skills:
Understands and aligns with fair housing laws along with state landlord tenant law; customer service, marketing, closing, strong communicator, ability to self‑direct
Overtime Eligibility:
Non Exempt (Eligible).
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment and some weekends.

The national salary range for Consultant, Leasing
- Realty Investors : $46,345.00 - $70,700.00. The expected starting salary range for Consultant, Leasing
- Realty Investors : $46,345.00 - $57,000.00. If a Sales job, Sales incentives based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range. Note on compensation for part‑time roles: actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full‑time schedule.
