Offer DescriptionThe Dermatological and Computational Immunology Laboratory at the University Medical Center Mainz is currently inviting international applications from PhD candidates for a scholarship opportunity associated with the Max Planck Graduate Center mit der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.
Research projects will specialize on single-cell sequencing and AI driven myeloid cell and interactome analysis in contexts of health and disease. Projects have a strong dry-lab focus but can incorporate molecular or translational wet lab components if sought.
The 3-year PhD program will be co-supervised by a bioinformatics-focused and a biology-focused PI. A Master’s degree or equivalent in natural or computer sciences with excellent marks and a very strong experience in single-cell sequencing analysis with first publications is required. Experience in omics integration analysis is a plus. Proof of English language skills for non-native speakers (official standardized tests, e.g. TOEFL iBT, min.
