Internship Opportunity

The Research and Innovation Center (CRI) of Hutchinson is a technological showcase where more than 250 technicians and engineers develop new materials, explore innovative products, improve rubber transformation processes, and provide technical and scientific expertise for the characterization of these new materials. Located in Châlette-sur-Loing, the CRI is an hour by train from Paris.

Within the Research and Innovation Center (CRI) of Hutchinson, the Physico-Chemical Analysis Laboratory (APC), composed of about 20 collaborators, conducts chemical, thermal, morphological, and structural characterizations for the different entities of the Hutchinson Group and the CRI researchers. Attached to an R&D engineer, you will be responsible for conducting material analyses by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). This internship is ideal for a student wishing to gain skills in advanced analytical techniques and evolve in a demanding industrial environment.

• Respond to technical assistance requests from the Group

• Prepare and analyze samples according to established protocols

• Conduct material analysis tests (elastomers, thermoplastics, composites…) to obtain:

  • the structure and chemical composition of polymer mixtures

  • the cross-linking density of mixtures

• Process and interpret the results obtained

• Write test reports

• Participate in the quality follow-up of technical assistance

• Ensure the proper functioning/order/safety of equipment

• You are pursuing a degree in Material Science or Physico-Chemical Characterizations at BAC+3 level

• You are available beginning September 2026 for a minimum duration of 1 year

• You have a marked interest in advanced analysis techniques and excellent practical skills while ensuring to follow good practices for safe work

• You have rigor with a good writing level and a synthesis spirit

• You have scientific curiosity and a desire to learn

• You have interpersonal skills: teamwork, cross-functional communication
