Synthetic Organic Chemist

Base salary $100,000-$120,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and 401(k).

This is a highly hands‑on laboratory role where you’ll design synthetic routes, solve complex chemistry challenges, and collaborate with multidisciplinary scientists to bring new technologies to life.

• PhD in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Strong background in multi‑step organic synthesis (graduate research experience counts).
• Industry experience preferred but not required; outstanding PhD graduates, postdocs, and research‑organization candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with analytical techniques including NMR, GC, LC, and mass spectrometry.
• Ability to design practical synthetic pathways using scientific literature.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for fundamental organic chemistry and scientific innovation.

• Design and synthesize novel organic molecules at the laboratory scale.
• Develop and optimize multi‑step synthetic routes and methodologies.
• Perform purification techniques including chromatography, distillation, and crystallization.
• Characterise reaction products using analytical instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and technical documentation.
• Present research findings and recommend next steps to project teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional R&D scientists to support product development.
• Provide technical insight to internal stakeholders while promoting a safe laboratory environment.
