Overview

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for providing a healthy, fulfilling meal for campers in a loving, Christian Environment. This position will be a full time supervisory position in the summer with cyclical hours in the off season. Responsibilities include training assistant cooks, supervising dietary restrictions, making sure prep and service are completely in a productive manner and more. The position requires great leadership skills with multi-tasking abilities.

Food service experience is required but will train for the right person.

Responsibilities

Preparing, cooking, cleaning, and serving large quantities of food

Using camp kitchen equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

Grills, ovens, deep fryers, dishwasher, large mixer, food slicer, coffee maker, etc.

Cleaning all camp kitchen equipment and camp kitchens as needed.

Maintaining a high standard of sanitation in food preparation.

Stocking pantry, storerooms, coolers, freezers on delivery days

Education/Experience

Large quantity cooking experience preferred.

Personal Qualities:
Strives for good communication with co-workers, campers, volunteers. Has an interest in Christian camping; projects good health habits; has health and stamina to perform job effectively; maintains self-control in stressful situations; able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Demands:
Exposed heat from burners, ovens, and steam trays. Exposed to cutting and slicing equipment and machine moving parts. Required to stand for prolonged periods.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

Valid Ohio drivers license
