The Retail Buying (Full‑Price) department plays a pivotal role in the success of the HUGO BOSS Retail business. It is responsible for translating the corporate strategy and enriching the global buy into a comprehensive and successful assortments achieving the defined targets. The department ensures the Retail channels are inspiring consumers by creating clear brand messages whilst meeting their needs by delivering the right product at the right place at the right time.
The Senior Retail Buyer is responsible for developing and executing buying strategies that align with the company’s brand vision, financial goals, and market demands. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and product performance to curate an inspiring and commercially successful product assortment. The Senior Retail Buyer collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams, including global buying, merchandising, planning, and retail, to ensure the right products are delivered to the right locations at the right time.
We are looking for a passionate Senior Retail Buyer (Full‑Price) (m / f / d) to drive business performance, change and growth in close collaboration with multiple interfaces, Global Buying/Planning/ Merchandising/Trading teams and the Markets.
What you can expect- Buying Strategy and Assortment Building:
Derive seasonal buying strategies to curate balanced and inspiring product assortments that align with the company’s retail and brand objectives while meeting customer needs and driving sales. Analyse market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks, ensuring assortments reflect the brand’s identity and maximize profitability. - Sales and Performance Analysis:
Analyse sales data, inventory levels, and product performance to identify trends and optimize future buying decisions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell‑through rates, margins, and stock turn to ensure business objectives are met. Run regular reports and insights on buying performance and market trends to provide senior management decision‑making proposals and drive continuous improvement. - Collaboration and Cross‑Functional Alignment:
Work closely with global buying, merchandising, planning, VM and the retail teams to ensure alignment on product strategies and execution to always meet brand’s standards. - Process Optimization and Innovation:
Continuously review and refine buying processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to bring fresh ideas and approaches to the buying process.
- Educational Background:
Successfully completed studies in Business Administration, Fashion/Textile Management, or a comparable field. - Professional
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience within Fashion Buying, Fashion Retail, Merchandise Management or a similar fast‑paced environment. Strong market & trend insights into the fashion retail industry. - Leadership
Skills:
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively. - Personal Attributes:
Enthusiastic, self‑confident, and self‑motivated. Ambitious and driven to implement initiatives and drive change to achieve company goals. Energetic and dynamic personality with a high level of empathy and integrity. - Analytical Expertise:
