The Opportunity

As a Production Reporting Analyst, you will serve as a critical link between field operations, accounting, and management by ensuring production data is accurate, reconciled, and available for decision-making.

You will collect, validate, analyze, and reconcile oil, gas, and water production information from multiple sources while helping identify operational trends, improve reporting processes, and support month-end financial activities.

Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

What You'll Do Production Data Management
  • Compile, validate, and reconcile oil, gas, and water production volumes from multiple reporting sources
  • Maintain accurate daily and monthly production records within company reporting systems
  • Verify production data against purchaser statements, field measurements, and operational reports
  • Ensure production information is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Reconcile production volumes across field reports, purchaser statements, and revenue records
  • Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with field operations and accounting teams
  • Analyze production trends, downtime events, and operational variances
  • Identify potential data integrity issues and implement corrective actions
Reporting & Business Support
  • Prepare production allocation summaries and well-level reporting
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for operational and financial stakeholders
  • Support month-end close activities by providing reconciled production data
  • Assist with internal audits and regulatory reporting requirements
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve data validation, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Support enhancements to production reporting systems and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of reporting standards and best practices
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical degree, associate degree, or relevant industry training preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in production reporting, production accounting, production data management, or a related oil and gas function
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of production reporting, allocation methodologies, and measurement data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with P2, IFS, or similar production reporting systems
  • Familiarity with Spotfire, SQL, or other reporting and data analysis tools
  • Exposure to production accounting processes and revenue reporting
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities

This is a hybrid position based in Quaker City, Ohio, with an expectation of working onsite three days per week. Occasional travel to the corporate headquarters in Morgantown, West Virginia, may be required for meetings, training, and collaboration.
