Stock Clerk

Responsible for stocking walk in coolers, beer cave, and coolers. Recording sales transactions on the cash register and providing general customer assistance.

• Keep all coolers and beer cave stocked with items from backroom.
• Ensure proper rotation of product when stocking coolers and beer cave.
• Assist cashiers with food orders and customer service.
• Receives cash, charge and check transactions in accordance with store procedures.
• Provides customers with appropriate receipts for each transaction.
• Prepared ice cream and food products for customers as needed.
• Receives incoming telephone calls, takes accurate messages and directs telephone calls to appropriate person.
• Prepare ice cream products and food according to state and local health code requirements. Ensures all equipment is working properly and holding correct temperature once per shift.
• Maintains adequate stock of paper forms for the cash register area, and notifies the Manager when additional supplies are needed.
• Assist cashiers in providing customer service, stocking merchandise, and cleaning store and parking lot according to manager directions.
• Attends store meetings and training sessions as required.
• Trains new employees on approved company procedures.
• Balances cash drawer and total currency sales each shift.
• Places cash and transaction records into safe in accordance with store procedures.
• Reports any problems or discrepancies to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
