Department Manager

Boscov's Department Store is seeking a Department Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment. In this role, you will oversee sales floor activities, merchandising, inventory levels, and visual standards while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You'll train, coach, and schedule associates, monitor performance, and support loss prevention and cash control procedures. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who models Boscov's family-focused values, drives sales goals, solves problems quickly, and builds strong relationships with customers, team members, and the local community.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of assigned sales department to meet sales and service goals
• Supervise, train, and coach sales associates; support scheduling and task delegation
• Maintain merchandising, visual presentation, and signage standards
• Monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, and product placement
• Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve escalated customer concerns
• Support cash handling, loss prevention, and store policy compliance
• Track sales metrics and contribute to department sales plans
• Collaborate with other managers and teams to support store-wide initiatives
• Promote Boscov's family- and community-focused culture on the sales floor
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department environment
