Retail Clerk

Location: Walnut Creek

Mancan is working with a restaurant in Walnut Creek seeking a retail clerk. This is a temp to hire opportunity. This is a part time position. Hours vary and may include evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Pay is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to all guests
• Answer phones
• Take orders for carryout, then forward to the kitchen and package orders when finished
• Process lunch orders for staff members
• Price items
• Stock and organize shelves with fresh products
• Make change and process credit/debit card payments
• Balance cash, credit cards, and gift certificate purchases at the end of the shift
• Assemble boxes
• Maintain cleanliness of the bakery retail area

Qualifications:

• Prior retail experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong comprehension and memorization skills
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work as part of a team
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions
• Basic math skills and ability to count money and make change
• Ability to learn and use software program for processing orders and creating guest checks
