Business Development Manager – Active Ingredients Skin Care DACH
Reporting to the European Sales Director, you will lead and accelerate sales growth in one of their most strategic markets. You will be the market expert, shaping and implementing the commercial strategy, strengthening distributor performance, and engaging directly with cosmetic manufacturers. This role combines commercial ownership, market intelligence, and scientific understanding, offering high visibility and impact.
Amongst your responsibilities we highlight:
- Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for the DACH region.
- Generate sustainable sales growth across all customer segments in the area.
- Assess and optimize the distribution setup.
- Drive growth among existing clients and open doors with premium targets, strengthening relationships with R&D, formulation, and marketing teams across customer bases.
- Identify trends, competitors, and opportunities in the active ingredients segment.
- Represent ALGAKTIV at industry events and trade shows.
- Collaborate closely with the scientific team.
We are looking for a seasoned business development professional with 5–10 years of technical sales experience in cosmetic active ingredients for the skincare industry. You possess a Master’s degree or PhD in biology, microbiology, chemistry or similar, and you combine a strategic mindset, able to generate market insights and share best practices, with a hands‑on business development attitude. You are comfortable with frequent travel, fluent in English;
French is a plus.
