Compensation

Base Salary $50K-$60K + Monthly Commission

Position Summary

The Associate Carrier Sales Representative supports the carrier sales team in a fast-paced third-party logistics / truck brokerage environment. This role focuses on building foundational knowledge in carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, and freight execution while developing the skills needed to manage carrier relationships and support daily operations.

Responsibilities
  • Make outbound calls to source carriers and support load coverage
  • Assist in negotiating rates with carriers and communicating pricing internally
  • Track shipments from pickup to delivery and provide status updates
  • Verify carrier information, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure accuracy of load details including rates, temperatures, and transit requirements
  • Support the team in resolving service issues and delays
  • Assist with obtaining invoices, BOLs, and required paperwork
  • Conduct market research to understand pricing and capacity trends
  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers
  • Learn and use the company's TMS (transportation management software)
  • Handle basic negotiation on rates and service terms
  • Develop relationships with shippers and carriers
  • Book loads and coordinate shipments
  • Track shipments and resolve issues as they arise
  • Consistently represent EFS in a positive and professional manner, internally and externally
Qualifications
  • 0–1 year of experience in sales, logistics, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn TMS systems
