Position: Sr Analyst, Regional Internal - Life Sales Desk
Location: Grandview Heights

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Regional Internal to join Nationwide Financial's Internal Sales & Service (ISS) team. In this role you will build and retain strategic relationships with financial professionals, administrators, plan sponsors, and participants, advising and consulting to drive business unit sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate daily contacts with targeted business partners to build relationships, discover needs and advise based on clients’ needs.
  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships and relationships with business partners to meet territory management performance requirements.
  • Determine the viability of business partners based on customer and business needs and products.
  • Respond to requests from business partners and external sales within assigned territory, providing support materials such as illustrations, proposals and product/rider information.
  • Address any questions or concerns the business partner may have regarding support materials.
  • Assist with case design, business consultations, product updates, training, product rollouts and point‑of‑sale consulting.
  • Contact business partners to support campaigns highlighting product features and benefits and advise on sales ideas and solutions (e.g., new/old products, cross‑selling opportunities).
  • Partner with external sales force to consult with business partners to grow their business.
  • Advise on product and procedural modifications to meet the needs of the business partner or client.
  • Engage business partners to retain their business with Nationwide and work to understand reasons for asset flight, advising alternative solutions for retention.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in human ecology, business, finance, communications, marketing or related field preferred.
  • License/Certification: FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses required. Must obtain required federal and/or state licenses within designated time period.
  • Experience: Minimum one year in a sales‑driven position. Experience in a sales or service call center environment preferred, as well as financial services background.
  • Knowledge, Abilities &

    Skills:

    • Fundamental knowledge of insurance and financial products and consultative sales processes.
    • Demonstration of Teach / Tailor / Take Control elements of consistent consultative sales process.
    • Strong drive for results, independent judgment, decision‑making, relationship building, consultative selling/advising skills, willingness to follow processes, good time management, organizational skills, receptive to coaching.
    • Excellent communication skills, including professional presence, listening, rapport building, writing, presentation.
    • Leadership skills, competencies and experiences may be considered.
  • Other Criteria: Leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $48,000.00 – $89,500.00
