Regional Vice President Of Sales
The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Sales is responsible for overseeing all sales and distribution activities within an assigned region and is accountable for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong client and vendor relationships while demonstrating a clear passion for communicating the value of the Company's products and services. The RVP of Sales is expected to lead with a high level of organization, energy, and results orientation, as they are responsible for recruiting, training, developing, and retaining a high-performing sales organization.
This position optimizes the regional territory database by cultivating meaningful relationships with clients and positioning the organization as a trusted advisor within the marketplace. This role regularly conducts deal reviews and strategic planning sessions to support the successful acquisition of new accounts and revenue opportunities. The RVP provides ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance counseling to sales leaders and team members to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
The RVP must be able to effectively lead in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment while influencing outcomes and driving execution through others. This position is responsible for leading a team of leaders and ensuring alignment to organizational goals, performance standards, and strategic initiatives.
- Leads all aspects of the sales process, including prospect engagement, internal approvals, pricing and negotiation, and post-sale implementation.
- Drives revenue growth by achieving monthly sales targets through active field leadership and direct engagement with the sales team.
- Conducts regular business reviews and holds sales staff accountable to performance goals, including implementing performance improvement plans as needed.
- Demonstrates and reinforces consultative selling methodologies and effective closing techniques to improve overall team performance.
- Manages team activity by establishing performance expectations, monitoring productivity, and promoting effective time management practices.
- Oversees and evaluates the sales pipeline to ensure appropriate volume, quality, consistency, and prioritization of opportunities.
- Implements sales strategies and operational initiatives to achieve regional targets and align with organizational objectives.
- Supports corporate initiatives and fosters a positive, aligned culture across the sales organization.
- Recruits, hires, and develops sales talent based on regional business needs.
- Evaluates individual and team performance, providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and development to drive continuous improvement.
- Occasional domestic travel will be required to attend team onsite meetings, client visits, customer events, industry conferences, and training sessions. This may include air travel, ground transportation (including cars, taxis, or rideshare services), and in some cases potential public transportation.
- Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and all other company team members ensuring effective coordination of communications and services affecting clients.
- Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices related to the company and department.

- Demonstrated knowledge of the broader business and economic environment and its impact on sales strategy and client growth.

- Strong quantitative and financial acumen, including the ability to interpret data, metrics, and basic accounting concepts related to sales performance.
- Working knowledge of the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry, including applicable policies, products, and sales strategies.
- Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgment in high-pressure or ambiguous situations.
