Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Swine Service Representative to join our team in Fort Recovery.

Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Swine Service Representative to join our team in Fort Recovery.
The primary goal of this position is to work closely with our production manager, other servicing managers and growers in monitoring the health of swine.
SHIFT HOURSMonday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
STARTING RATECommensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAYMonthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions- Coordinate all aspects of swine health, working with growers to manage each herd. This includes, but not limited to:
- Ensure good health of swine
- Solve grower management problems
- Solve swine disease problems that arise
- Mark individual top hogs for market
- Identify, project and schedule hog loads for market
- Maintain target sale weights and weight ranges
- Follow through on problem herds
- Practice good sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with growers and producers
- Communicate effectively with loading crews and trucking companies
- Keeps records, fills out receipts, and visits farms weekly
- Teach new growers proper husbandry techniques
- Make suggestions to make the Swine Division more efficient.
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science is preferred. An associate degree with experience will be considered.
- A valid driver license is required.
- Ability to work well with others
- Must have excellent observation, communication and organizational skills
