As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in West Jefferson, OH
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced retail distribution location as an unarmed, driving Security Officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. - Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and control entry for employees, visitors, and drivers by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials when assigned, and documenting arrivals and departures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts, contacting emergency services when appropriate, and notifying site leadership.
- Complete routine documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol activity reports, and observe alarm panels and/or video systems when assigned to support security-related operations.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
