The AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team seeks a Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead projects that install, design, and test physical security systems for AWS data centers. The role involves interpreting threat assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards, collaborating with engineering teams to meet high security standards, and ensuring local security teams are equipped to carry out the mission.

• Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components.
• Design physical security systems for new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Prepare security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents; review and provide quality assurance of vendor quotes.
• Submit complete vendor quote packages to the Infrastructure Technical Project Manager for project requisitions.
• Project manage multiple concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
• Act as subject matter expert for physical security system testing and acceptance, ensuring operational readiness at project completion.
• Prepare and archive project close‑out documentation.
• Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability/reliability.
• Travel up to 25% within the United States as required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Travel up to 25% of the time within the United States.
• 2+ years of security operations experience in data center, logistics, manufacturing, retail or similar industries, including experience with access control systems, CCTV, and defense in depth strategies.
• 2+ years of experience in physical security project management.
• Gov Cloud region requirement: candidate must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise eligible for U.S. government clearance; logical access to the AWS Gov Cloud region is limited to U.S. citizens.

• Experience in design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services.
• Experience working on physical security design and implementation of access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems.
• Professional certifications such as PSP, CPP, or PMP.
• Ability to manage multiple medium and large-scale projects that are complex in nature, interpret program objectives, develop project schedules, and manage adherence to established timetables.
