AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.
Responsibilities- Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, handle site incidents, work with security equipment, participate in construction projects, drive day-to-day process improvement activities, and manage vendors.
- Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures, participate in re-occurring site audits and reviews, and test new security technologies.
- Demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environments, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication.
- Review security incidents or operational issues; perform security system checks, test access control systems, verify camera operations, and review alarm panel statuses.
- Participate in operations meetings with the DC Operations team to align on maintenance activities, review vendor access requests, and address emerging security concerns.
- Conduct facility walkthroughs, inspect perimeter security, check equipment condition, and document vulnerabilities in the security tracking system.
- Manage security-related tickets, process badge access requests, coordinate vendor escorts, handle security system maintenance requests, and oversee vendor management activities and security guard operations to ensure SLA compliance and quality service.
- Participate in security team meetings to review metrics, discuss process improvements, and coordinate upcoming projects; update security procedures, complete required reports, review camera footage, and document incidents as needed.
- Maintain responsiveness to security incidents or alarms and communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Maintain high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic situations while upholding data center security standards.
