Duties- Provide protection for high-profile locations, including The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in Washington, D.C.
- Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
- Enforce mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
- Minimum of 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral (exceptions apply for current or prior federal law enforcement service).
- Ability to carry and use a firearm; maintaining firearm proficiency is mandatory.
- Uncorrected visual acuity must not exceed 20/100 binocular; corrected visual acuity must be 20/20 or better in each eye.
- Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in specified frequency ranges; ability to hear a whispered voice from 15 feet away is required.
- Submission to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing during your tenure is required.
- Complete 12 weeks of rigorous training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized instruction at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
- Males born after December 31, 1959 must certify registration with the Selective Service System or claim an exemption.
